Hi all,

I am going to Canada on a work permit and my job category is in NOC skill level A, i will be accompanied by my wife and she has got a visitor visa for the same period. We want to get it change to Work visa with a open work permit. PMM told me that it can be done at the port of entry itself.

I need to know that has anyone got it done before, if yes the please share your experience as i need to know how much approximate time it would take. As i am arriving in Montreal and I have a connecting flight to Charlottetown after 3 hours, Can i get the visa and the permit there itself if i produce all the required documents or it will be sent to a mailing address which i will provide.

Can somebody point me where i can find the application forms which needs to filled as i am able to find application form which is used if you apply for visa outside Canada and i don't think that it will be valid if i apply within Canada.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

regards,
Anurag
