Work Permit Application - Interview

Hello,
I have appeared at the Consulate general of Canada in Buffalo, NY last week. They told me that they will process the application and send the letter for an Interview in about 4 weeks. Once I receive that, I need to go back to the Embassy for the Visa.
Now, I need to go back to India for the next 3 months. Can I go to any Canadian Embassy in India for my Visa or do I need to attend only at Buffalo,BY (that is where I submitted my application) ?

Hi,
I am also in a similar situation. Can you please let me know how much time did it take for the Buffalo consulate to send the letter.
