Work Permit Application at Border with LMO

I have an positive LMO but had to leave Canada before my work permit application was processed. The work permit application is now void because I left.

My employer (the one on the LMO) still wishes to hire me and I have heard of work permits being issued at point of entry with a valid LMO.

So my questions are these.

1. How do I find out if my LMO is still valid?

2. If it is still valid am I likely to succeed in getting a work permit at a point of entry?

3. Are some places better than others for this?

4. Will I need any conformation from my employer that the job offer still stands?

Your employer will need to file another LMO application. If approved again, your employer will have to send you the LMO and you will have to apply in your country of residence.

You can only apply at the border if you are still in Canada. Once you leave Canada, you will have to apply for Work Permit with your LMO in your country UNLESS you can enter Canada again anytime soon.
