Hello Everyone,

I need help in regards for applying for spousal sponsorhip I dont know what to do my situation is Im married to a canadian citizen last August and Im currently working right now my work permit expires this dec. 20 and Im currently waiting for my LMO for a new job right now I am preparing also to submit my PR application for spousal sponsorhip before my work permit expired. I am confused if I need to submit my PR application first or do I need to wait for LMO for my new job to apply for open work permit? and I dont know how long will it take to get an approved open work permit and I want to work continously I dont want to stay home and wait for the open work permit but I am worried because my work permit for my current job right now will expire next month or do I need to submit right away my PR application for spousal and after apply for work permit ? pls anybody can help me I need reply asa..thank you

I think, although i'm not certain, you should submit your PR application (inland I assume) with the OWP application at the same time, and do it before your current work permit expires next month.
I think this way you will be on implied status and will be able to continue working.

If not, hopefully you will get the positive LMO result and be able to continue to work, otherwise you'll have to wait 10 months for Approval in Principle with the PR application and the Open work permit.

Can anyone else comment, I am not 100% sure.....
