Hi all

I have work experience in 2 different eligible NOC categories. In one category I have 2 years, in the other I have 3 years. Can I combine the two to give myself the maximum number of points for this factor (ie. >4years)? This will make the difference of getting a pass mark or not!

Thanks!

As far as i know u can only have points for one, which u will prefer,
Coz in Form IMM 0008 3e Schedule 3, Economic classes-FSW  where we mention our work experience with NOCs and respective job Descriptions, we have to give our preference to an NOC in the end of the new forms,
It states,

From the occupations you listed at question 11 above, list which occupational experience you would like to be assessed in order of preference.Begin with your first choice and continue with your second, etc.

Seniors may guide further!

Yes! Both can be combined to obtain the maximum points for experience. You may give preferences to both of them e.g. Starting with the NOC in which you have more experience etc.

If you have carried out the duties required, according to the HRSDC, you will be awarded maximum points.

In addition to the minimum of ONE YEAR full time worked in at least one of the NOC 29 occupations, you CAN include any work in a NOC that falls in the skill level O, A or B for a maximum of 4 years credit (21 points).

The above post said it correctly in terms os FSW.

You can always try for other options such as the Quebec program.  There are no 29 job occupation limitations there.  I'm not sure but you can check on it.  There are different requirements though.

Check out all the options you have.  Maybe you will find one that best fits your needs.  G'luck.
