Within Eight months

The first e-mail that I got from the Visa Office processing my PR says I should contact them within 8 months if I have not received any Instructions,This is the 7 months,Will it be wise for me to contact them since I have not heard from them and it says
WITHIN
8 months.
Suggestions are welcome!
