Hello, I am the principal applicant. My husband and 5 months baby are my dependents who would be migrating with me to Canada as per the application (prior June 26th )

Now due to a lot of reasons, I am not able to arrange the documents for my husband and daughter . I am being made to run around for PP's and PCC's . I am nearing the deadline ( I received a letter dated June 29th asking me to send full documents to VISA office in 120 days , so It must be around Oct 20th my deadline )

I now wish to send an explanation letter to VO in New Delhi explaining that my husband and daughter although my dependents will not be migrating at the moment with me and I would be withdrwaing them from my application. Although, their names will be mentioned in my dependents/family columns. I will send a modified application for the same.

1. will the VO accept this ?
2. will they refund the fees that I paid for my husband and daughter ?
3. Is my calcutaion of Oct 20th as my deadline the right calculation ( AOR dated June 29th )

Thanks

1. will the VO accept this ?

>>>> It is you application and your wish. Visa Officer will agree for their exclusion, all you have to write a letter for it. But they will have to undergo medicals and clear.

2. will they refund the fees that I paid for my husband and daughter ?
>>> Since they have not started process so you will get your amount back. It taked 3-4 months to get back money.

3. Is my calcutaion of Oct 20th as my deadline the right calculation ( AOR dated June 29th )

>>> It should be 28th Oct.

I think a is lot of time left to submit the documents, you can make efforts to get passports, documents and PCC ready for your spouse.
If you drop them now, you will have to later on sponsor them and they would again need those documents which you are looking now.
Living alone without family is also tough asking.

Maran,

1. Try & get max possible docs that u can by 1st week of Oct-2010.

2. Send all the docs, u have by then, to the CHC - by 2nd week of Oct-2010.

3. Write a suave letter* to the VO:
-a) Explaining all the problems that u faced in collecting the bal docs.
-b) Give them a deadline by which u can send them those.
*Though it's not the norm to offer extension but a clear plea does the trick.

4. Don't remove your spouse & the kid from your apps.

5. Pray.

Good luck!
