Hi

Keep in mind thought, that it seems the woman could have appealed this decision, which would have been a long, drawn-out process, causing even more stress.
It would definitely be better to withdraw the sponsorship before the visa is issued.
Maybe your husband is acting like this because to him it has been a fake relationship all along, he just wanted to immigrate to Canada, and has been using you. And he's starting to find it stressful to try to keep pretending he is in a real relationship.

A number of already been appealed to the Federal Court which have stated basically, until the person is actually "landed" the sponsorship can be withdrawn.

Yep, but it would be a whole lot easier on the OP if they withdrew before the visa is issued. 2 to 3 years before it would reach Federal Court?  And if the applicant went on welfare, the sponsor is still responsible.  And those 2 to 3 years give the applicant time to establish other relationships, ask for H&C, etc.  But of course you're right and perhaps the OP has no concerns about welfare, etc.  Most new PRs who come to Canada work hard to get economically established without ever thinking of going on social assistance.  The OP has lots to think about.  What a crappy decision to have to make!

Kaycee1 - really sorry to hear about this situation and like everyone, I truly hope it can be resolved. I was just curious - if you're considering withdrawing the sponsorship, would you tell your husband before (if you haven't discussed it with him already, that is)? I'm just curious what his reaction would be and I think it might be telling about where he is coming from in the relationship.
