Just don't be bothered about the ratings. I joined this site before the rating systems and at that time there were a few people who would give incorrect advise. But that would always be corrected by others who knew it was incorrect. i think the ratings were introduced so that those who consistently gave incorrect advice could be identified. However , now i see it that no matter how correct you are , if someone doesn't like your post or its not what they want to hear they just give you a negative rating. Hence don't get flustered by your ratings on this site because irrespective of the rating , if you give decent advice you will always be known as such.

It does effect you when u see them despite being good and trying to help others.

There is 2 point way to tackle this:
 - try and be even better and even more helpful on this forum (people will ultimately see that).
 - Look at the plus ratings as well, and be VERY HAPPY as that means that people DID find you worth marking you with a plus!!

thx for your reply. i am also here for help. i just wanted to know what i done to hurt people or what mistake i made so i wont do it again. nobody mentions why he is giving negative but if he/she tells us we can rectify this mistake next time. i have no idea what mistakes i have made in start to get 4 negatives.

Indeed it would be more useful if there were some kind of comment system, maybe sending a PM to someone when you neg them so the poster at least knows what the reader found negative.
