Kindly throw some light that will the canadian elections effect the immigration or not?
The process will expedite or get further delay.

iT MIGHT AFFECT THE IMMIGRATION PROCESS. ALL THE PARTIES MAY CHANGE THEIR VIEW AFTER THE ELECTION AND HAVE SOFT CORNER TOWARDS THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR LAST SEVEN YEARS WHERE AS PEOPLE WHO HAVE APPLIED RECENTLY ARE GETTING PR WITHIN A YEAR OF APPLICATION. THIS IS GOING ON INSPITE OF THE BACKLOGGERS HAVING VAST ALL ROUNDER EXPERTISE AND SKILLS.

But the point is, "backloggers" don't have the skills Canada has currently identified that they need. If they award visas to backloggers as opposed to fast track then from their point of view they are just getting in people who are not in demand and therefore will either struggle financially or will be taking jobs away from Canadians.

I don't wish to sound unsympathetic and I appreciate the wait must be very frustrating - but I am just trying to illustrate why CIC are thinking as they are by prioritising post-Feb-2008 over pre-Feb-2008.

There is nothing to prevent a pre-Feb-2008 applicant from making a parallel application if they are on the in-demand list, and nothing to prevent them getting a job offer and applying that way.

Yes, another application can be created, but also remember all this needs time and money.  Getting documents ready is not a days job, plus the fees also. Yes  for those who have t he time and money they can go ahead and do it.

I am very certain we have some other things on the table to get through with them.  I am a post June 2010 and have heard nothing from the visa office. I just need to know what they want  to do with the processing and continue my life. There  is still a life without moving to Canada.  Life continues after all you are not going to sleep and money will just be coming into the bank account. We will still have to struggle with life , just like we are doing right now where ever we may be at the moment.

Cheers.
