Will P.R be affected if applied for get student visa got Rejected / Approved

Dear Seniors / peers,
Please provider your feedback...I am nurse still waiting for 2nd AOR / Pre June 2010 applicant. I wanted to enroll in 1 year course for Canadian Nurses Registration preparatory prog for my Nurses Registration Exam (CRNE) in Vancouver Canada but the agency says if there is a student visa rejection which is likely to be high it might affect your P.R application so dont jepordise your P.R chances for any hasty decision.
Please suggest and advice my registration exam which are held only in Canada are at hand.
