Hi

I have Permanent Residence for Canada, and I landed in Canada on 14 Jun 2008.
Currently I am working and residing in USA. Recently I got married and my question is that how can my spouse get her Permanent Residence for Canada? Can she apply on my behalf? If yes, what is the process? My wife is an Indian passport holder currently on dependent visa in US.

Thanks and Regards.

You can sponsor your spouse for Canadian PR but you would have to be living in Canada yourself to do that.  I hope you are also aware of the PR residency requirements.  To keep your own PR, you need to live in Canada at least 730 days in any 5 year period so that means in your first 5 years as a PR, you can be outside Canada no more than 3 years ( 1095 days ).

how long is a piece of string?

some people get PR in 4 months others 18 months

it depends on if you apply outland or inland, is your paper work in order, have you supplied all information.?
