hello everyone! i am new here to this forum.

I have worked as a dentist in the government for 1 year, in a company for 20 years and i also own a dental clinic.

I would just like to ask if i will still be able to make it before the cap is full. (500 dentists as i have read in the immigration website).

I am now reviewing for the ielts, and i am planning to take the exam this November 2011. Then, I will submit all documents, including my family's documents, by December/November 2011. Will i still be able to make it?i am really eager to go to canada but i am afraid that it will be too late. (by the way, i am from the Philippines). Thank you so much.

As of now, there are 114 dentists who made it into the Cap. Advice please. Thank you!

i am afraid that november will be a bit too late. it wud be better if u appear in ielts asap and in the meanwhile prepare all other documents. check about the timelines in the other forums as well.

thank you for your reply.

i have read other forums and i am really nervous. i also considered submitting my application at least the first week of november, but i hope that they'll still accept. thank you.

i guess they are approving leser and lesser applicants every year??

or maybe after the 10,000 applicants are filled, they will open a new policy, but of course, with dentists in it. thank you.

I think you should gather all your documents and just wait for the IELTS result. As soon as you get that, you must send in your application. Waiting till Nov is not a good idea, in my opinion.

I think it is a good suggestion to register to take your IELTS as soon as you can get a placement as it still takes 13 days after the exam to get the results.  Have your application complete.  Double check the checklists (have someone else look it over as well) and make sure that EVERYTHING is accurate, dated and signed where required.  GOOD LUCK!
