Hi everyone...

I am presently working as a CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE...
And our job is to take in calls from USA...
regarding their HEALTH INSURANCE...
I have been in this corporate business for 8months now
since I resigned from my previous work...

We assist them in any query they have...
And as a number one rule in the floor...
"ENGLISH ONLY POLICY"

Even our American clients we get to mingle each day
oblige us to speak in English...

Question is:
Will that suffice my ENGLISH PROFICIENCY?
Can I submit them my contract in this company
And make a letter of explanation that the language
we are consistently using is "ENGLISH"?
as a proof rather than taking up my IELTS again?

Do I need to ask a letter from my supervisor explaining them that
we are working in an ENGLISH ENVIRONMENT?

The thing is...
I have had my IELTS exam year 2008...
and it is still valid until JUNE 2010...
but if I submit that now... for my full documents in the embassy...
that will be more than a year old already...
I had 8 in listening; 7.5 in speaking; 7 in writing and 7 in reading...

This time I don't have time to review and practice...
Aside from that I don't have enough funds for my exam
as I am saving for my other documents...
And lastly... I don't have enough time anymore...
Since I am expecting my AOR will arrive soon...

Do you guys have any idea how this can help?
Or I really have no choice but to retake my Exam...
Please I need your advice on this?

Thank you so much!!!

no experience or education will suffice english proficiency. if you dont take ielts, you leave yourself upto the mercy of immigration officer. he may give you full 16. he may give you 8. and he may also give you 0 and reject your application. if you want to take a risk, its your call. if you want to play safe, sit an ielts exam.

you need ielts if english is not your native language. you also need to re-take, as ielts for immigration in canada is only valid for 1year.

cheers

Please dont take any risk ! I think you should take Ielts ,  your  processing time also may go long due to one more step you are increasing to evaluate your english write-up about your skills and proficiancy !

i have one more concern here...

in my initial application ,i mistakenly attached
a result of my IELTS exam that is more than
1 year.

to be specific...
i took it JUNE2008
so it was 1 YEAR AND 4MONTHS
from the time they received it
will i still garner a PERFECT 16PTS...

or it will cause me in trouble!
owwww no...
i'm really hoping so much for the best...

do you have any idea on this?

I don't have the answer to your question but rather a question for you. Do you always write like that? Those phrases arranged one on top of the other and connected by . . .  are annoying and hard to read. This is not some poetry forum and even if it were, your poems would suck. End vent.

as mentioned earlier, u have to take IELTS again to claim points for language proficiency. and u will have to attach the result card with ur full application to local visa office. nothing else will do.

regards.

please don't be so harsh in giving comments
coz that's how i really type in what i wanted to say...

as long as you can read it, i guess it won't matter...
and as long as i'm not HURTING ANYBODY'S feeling...
then i don't see anything wrong with it.

if you have problem with it... i suppose you can tell
to me in a nicer way or just PM me...

anyway, if you can't answer my question...
then i would advice you not to give any comment instead.
i don't wanna be harsh myself...
i'm just venting out what i feel...

thanks again...
(and my apology for you not understanding what i wrote here)

dear kyle,

plz don't get sucked up & disheartened. we r all here to help each other & in return learn a lot too. none of us r perfect, in fact nothig is in utopia as well, no ?

to ur last query, yes... sending the old IELTS helps. that way the VO has a definite info on ur language skills. nothing wrong abt it. if u had written that earlier, my reply would be diff. now, wait for any query from the chc and then u might be asked to take another IELTS, else everything is fine with ur case.

all the best, my dear...
from everyone of us here.

thank you so much...
yah I perfectly understand,
i was just shocked
how everyone is so nice to me here...
and help me with my querries...

then one would suddenly be rude.
anyway, that's nothing now...

it's okay...

thank you so much for everything...
everyone is really a big help here!
lets keep the faith going!

godbless! Smiley
