Helllo I FINALLY got my PPR from my consultant and I'm planning on mailing my passport today but I realized something. I will be sending it to the address in Ontario because I'm currently in Canada (even though I applied outland) is this correct?
Also, my passport has an expired visitor's record in it, and I was told that I could not remove it, that someone at immigration had to remove it for me. The problem is that there is no stamp from the US saying I LEFT since the visitor record expired. Well this is because I haven't. But I DID in fact apply to have my visit extended but it's still processing (and likely will not be done processing for another month or so, and I will likely have landed by then.) So I was wondering if this was going to be a big problem. If they will see my expired visitor's record when they go to put my visa in and think that I am in the country illegally.
What do you think?
Thanks!

Who told you that you cannot remove a visitor record? It is not going to be a problem if you remove it - CIC have a record of that VR anyway.
If you are worried, why not include a copy of the receipt for the extension application, and a note explaining the situation ?

I'm less worried about the visitor's record and more about the address I send it to. Does it matter which one I send it to?

If you are in Canada, you should send it to the Fort Erie address. That is what I did a few days ago. If you send it to Buffalo then you won't be able to send them a return Xpresspost envelope for them to return your passport to you. In that case, they would send it regular mail and you wouldn't be able to track it. It could take a long time too then, with regular mail from the USA.
so you go to the post office and buy two of those Canada Xpresspost envelopes and one you self address to yourself and put it inside the other with your passport and photos and send it to the Fort Erie address. That way you have tracking for both there and return. Mine was delivered in two days from when I sent it.
Also, I put my passport, photos and cover letter in a separate regular envelope with my immigration file sticker on the outside (they said to do this) and wrote my name on that envelope too. Then I put that inside the mailing envelope.
Don't forget to write down your height and eye color. I forgot to do that and emailed the info, although they didn't acknowledge it.

Hi,
I sent my passport from Canada and it was returned to Canada. My work permit had expired and my vistor extension was still waiting to be processed. I didn't attach any note of explaination, and I had absolutely no problem.
You should be fine.

Yes - these instructions are part of the letter or email.

So the general consensus is that I can (and probably should) send it to the address in Canada as I am in Canada, even though my application was outland?

When I applied for PR years ago I was living in an other country and I had an expired canadian visa in my passeport. It was so complicated to mail my passeport from my country so I gave it to my sister, she posted it from Canada and had it returned to Canada.
