Hi Dears,

Why we want to migrate and get rid of our country? The country where we born, spent our precious days of childhood, teenage, even beyond? There may be a single reason but at the end we may have a lot of reasons.

Let us share and guide one another.

I feel since you have started this topic and you are also making efforts for immigrating to Canada, you should be first to eloborate your reason for leaving your sweet country.

Dear i was expecting someone to ask me this question. So, explorer101, you got 10/10.

You name it.

But the one, of course, the LAW & ORDER SITUATION, which is pushing us towards adverse economice disaster.

Hi all

I hapened to live in USA & UK besides my country Pakistan. I would say that it is basically " No System / Bad System Problem " that leads to or magnifies other problems in Pakistan ( possibly also in India but to a varying and lesser extent) :

1. Unstable Economics due to External as well as internal factors including extermism ( genuine as well as externally forced imposterous
extremism in disguise from ones who always are talking of Democracy)
2. Bad Politicians due to wrong Voting decesion of the people in Majority ( An overwhelming Majority of the Voters are Illetrate and Greedy of
money maybe out of necessity and their Votes always turn the Tables but these people never learn)
3. Bad Beaurocracy Ruling since the formation of Pakistan
4. Personalization is very dominant and has killed or supressed Institutionalization
5. Above all no set pattern and direction as a Nation

Some of may agree with me. Some of you may differ with me. It's one's right to do so.

Ensentially the problems are similar whichever the Country may be. There are certainly problems or shortcomings related to anyone's country that's why He or She would think and act on shifting to some other country or land. Without any obvious existing cause why would any body try to relocate?

Always Hopeful

Well said ALWAYS HOPEFUL-HOPEFUL CANADIAN !!!

Sometimes our country being 'Sweet' or 'Sour' might not be the decider. Some of us, who r expatriates, might be well settled abroad... & would like to pursue the Citizenship thing in another country, for 5 reasons:

1. Our own homeland might not be geared-up to offer the lifestyle which we already enjoy overseas.
2. The present country of residence might not have a Citizenship program for the expatriates.
3. Our Kids no longer feel 'belonging' to the culture back home. This is one of the main causes to worry.
4. If we r married to a spouse of another nationality, s/he might be calling the shots.
5. And if the choice trickles between our or his/her country, a 3rd nation [Canada, US or ANZ] might be preferable.

Just pondering...

To avail better avenues in life , have a good quality of life, better education for children, free better medical facilities, social security and above all peace of mind .Since the same opportunity is available here(canada) and think so will be fulfilled by immigrating to Canada. Despite the fact that we Love our country and our homeland and will remain missing our sweet country more after immigration.

my reasons,

 1. Better life style
 2. Better education for my kids
 3. in this country, as a Tax payer I don't get the benifit for what I pay (No good schooling for kids - Immence competition to get a good school)
 4. Better exposure for kids and let them grow with a better attitude
 5. The need for getting rid of some bad people around and to keep the kids away from them.

I've currently a good job with a good salary and satisfaction. But still decided to make the move for the future of the kids.

Dear Irshad
I think the different perspective of all members is very important.
Immigration is a very BIG change and the transition is bound to bring a lot of doubts and self reflection.
Seeing if others opinion overlap with yours will being a much needed relief and also self confidence.
Thus I think the original poster has taken a good initiative.

Dear Honolulu,
You are correct....Everyone thinks in a different manner.
I did not wanted to hurt any1's feeling by asking why this topic was raised.
I just wanted to know for my sake as to why this topic was raised so we can also know the main motive behind this topic Smiley

Regarding doubts and "sweet" country, I think we will always be close to the mother nation in our hearts and mind.
That can NEVER change.
Immigration is for a better quality of life and decisions are usually economic in nature.
Not emotional.
