Cases of Islamabad!

I just don't understand this once if the medical is done WHY remedical? And someone told me that your husband is maybe asked for another police certificate. Is this true?
If it is does get expired why do they make everyone do them in the beginning?
Also last question If we are asked for more documents/interview will my husband get a call or do they sent letters to both of us?

Thankyou soooooo much for ur help.

Medical and police cert validity is only 12 months....if the processing takes longer than that and it expires they will require remedical and recert as anything can happen in 12months....

Dont't know about the interview, maybe phone call maybe letter or email..different people different ways

Normally they send PPR/Interview request by e-mail(to applicant) and E-cas both.

Hi Fatema,

I agree with Ryffa_Q.

Th Visa Office can contact the applicant by any method they prefer. Either by letter sent by post, or fax (if there is fax number given), or by e mail ( if the e mail id is provided)  or by phone ( if the correct number they have.). But usually, a request by phone are very rare because they cannot make a record in their system what was the exact communication made with the applicant.

ECAS is not is communication method. It is not always updated properly and cannot depend too.

Hi Fatema,

Currently it takes 24 months to sponsor your spouse from Islamabad. Although the straight forward cases with a lot of proof of contact and pictures are wrapped up anywhere from 16-20 months. Your husband will have to get a new PCC and a Re-medical as PCC is only valid for 6 months and for medical its 12 months. Currently, the initial review of the application is done after 11-12 months of the file transfer to Islamabad. After the initial review, they ask to fill out a few more forms and ask for a new PCC. Then they ask for Re-medical and once the Re-medical is passed, they would ask for passport request. All this communication would be done through letters by regular mail. Although Re-medical for some and passport request for everyone comes through courier service. Thie whole procedure takes anywhere from 16-20 months. If you want to have more information on cases from Islamabad, you can join this thread below.

Police certificates are valid for 6 months, and medicals 12 months. If you're lucky and receive a visa within that time, you don't have to re-do them.

They will email you or call you about the interview.
