Hi
I sent spouse sponsor application jan 12

They received the application jan 13 ,
Application started processing jan 29

they started  processing after 16 days that they recieved.

can anyone explain?
the processing time 36 days starting from jan 29?

There is literally a large pile of applications that are waiting to be processed. When yours arrived, it was added to the bottom. By Jan. 29 it made its way to the top and they opened your envelope.

Yes, that is how long it takes for them to evaluate your application.

Not really sure what you're asking - if you're complaining or if you're pleasantly surprised.  Normally, processing of JUST the sponsor's part of the application through the Case Processing Center in Mississauga takes up to 30 days.  So 16 days is pretty fast.  But that's just the beginning.  If the sponsor is found eligible, then the application goes to the overseas visa office for assessment of the applicant- and that will take months.  So get ready to wait.
