while reading this forum i found out that in some cases prr was issued within 6 to 8 months while some cases took years.

why is that Huh?

My understanding is that it depends on the visa office how busy it is and secondly each individual case is different so for some it takes more time for background/security checks whereas for otherwise it take less.

I think there is more than that. The average time to get visa under FSW1 at many VOs for example India, Singapore is well under 12 months from date of initial application sending. So how it would be possible that almost all people applying through these VOs have had lesser security checks requirements than those applying through VOs like from Pakistan (now London), Bufallo?

Some other things do also matter.

some countries are on hit list and some are not. i think thats the reason.
