Hi Guys,

My WHP Visa from Australia expires in 2 months.

I've already taken steps to renew it, but it says I must leave the country and re-enter at a port of entry.

In theory can I take a road trip with my friends to the USA, stay over night, then drive back the next day, go across the boarder, get my new WHP permit printed and continue life?

It's difficult to understand , what you are writing? Are you in Canada or in Australia?

AS my experience in 20008,I drove entring the border of Canada and USA and than told the officer forgiving the right of entring USA; I was indicated having a U-turn back to the entry of border of Canada and applied a new visa.
You maybe could do the same way to get your new one, however, as different as various countries set, you should firstly make sure that the Working Holiday Permit is unnecessary applied in your own country and can be applied at the border instead.

many Lucks.
