Yes, we did send full docs in October 2009 to CIC London office, from UAE.
Awaiting confirmation patiently from London office.

Have you had an update on your full docs sent?

Hi,

I received a letter from Sydney Australia visa office. They gave a file number which says unclassified on top of it. Then when I tried to check the e-cas it says received and they may contact me. How about yours?

From following up this forum i can conclude that the steps should be as following :
- 2 - 3 weeks after submitting ur documents to ur local visa office u will receive email with AOR and new file no.,
- use this new file no. to check ur application status online,
- first the online status should shows Application Received By Visa Office
- then after 1 - 2 week it will change to Eligibility Check Completed
- then after 1 - 2 week it will change to Under Processing
- then after 3 - 4 weeks you will recive ur medical request
- then 3 - 4 weeks after submitting ur medical results u will receive passport request
- then 3 - 4 weeks after submitting ur passport they will send it back,

So total duration should be 5 months ( This is the ideal timeline )

Anyone would like to add anything ?

It really depends on the visa office what your individual time lines are going to be. For instance, for "my" visa office, it apparently can take up to two months before an AOR is being sent out. So comparing time lines doesn't make a lot of sense unless you only consider applicants who apply to the same office.
