Is it normal these days for old cases applicants to get requested to submit passport/RPRF/Medicals all at once? Since the passport is included in the package,Is it really a PPR(for visa stamping)? or requesting a passport is just but part of application process? I am confused here!

Generally for the 'old applicants' the CHCs are 'not' issuing Meds & PPR in one go. They are doing so only for the 'new applicants' [post Feb-2008].
However, exceptions are galore... & if it so done, that's a mighty 'bonus'. Remember: If it's a PPR, we'll also get an 'Update Info form' [exact words] alongwith the Meds+Pps letter. That'll be the 'indicator'.

dear Qorax,
i m an old applicant (Sept 2006). I received PPR+RPRF+Meds together and my e-cas changed to 'decision made' from 25th Jan, 2010. Still awaiting for the visa from CHC-Singapore via CHC-Dhaka.
Pls comment on my case.
As things are getting delayed, my last minute tension really growing up.

I never got a separate form the so called " update info form" However, at the time of 2nd update, i was requested to provide documents and a form which i downloaded from the CIC provided link, required me to fill in details like height/passport issue-expiry date/eye color etc...could this be the same information that is required in the update info form? If so,having been asked to provide passport/RPRF/medicals..could this be a PPR in the offing???

As things are getting delayed, my last minute tension really growing up. Relax.. 'decision made' after pps submission means [99%] your visa is 'stamped'. The delay in returning the pps might just be due to admin causes. Probably, as we talk, those r underway. All the best, buddy !!!

That ought to be your Meds+PPR [all in one-go].

It's really difficult to know what's going on!! Visa offices around the world have different approaches when handling applicants immigration files. For the old cases,It's turning out that meds/RPRF/passport are asked as one package, though again it's case by case.I guess it's one way of dealing with the backlog "thing".Currently files of 2006/2007 are getting attended to,in some visa offices. This is a good sign that at least the old cases haven't been sidelined!
