Did anyone applied in August 2009 receive medical request or experience "in process" status in ecas??? its almost 3.5 months singapore received my full docs but haven't yet started processing my case. Also can anyone give any idea of the verification process? This delay is killing me..  I submitted my initial application to NS in August and my ecas shows "In process" since January. I expect to receive medical request very soon. My visa office is in Vienna. |

Hi -
I just received the letter from Buffalo Office saying the "application has been received" and the same is showing up on the CICs website. Do you know what is the avergae time for processing after the application has been received at the Buffalo Office ?
Also, how can I apply updates (addition to family, Offer from Canada firm and moving down there) to your application. Any help here will be much appreciated.

jattu1980, not so lucky yet. Just hoping that some action happens soon. But, I guess each case is different. If a transfer happens for me, it would be to Seattle office rather than NY. Don't know if that may be a factor in additional delays. Some cases are being handled till the end by Buffalo itself. Again criteria unknown. But, from an AOR perspective from Buffalo, we are just 4 weeks away, so hope is that I could hear something in the 1st or 2nd week of June. Let's stay in touch and keep each other updated. I filed August 2009 and finally received the file number April 21, 2010 by email.
The CIC website shows my status as "Received"
Can somebody tell me what is the next step and when I can expect my case moves to the next step? How long does it usually take for the applicant to hear from the visa office after getting the file number? (my Visa office is Buffalo)
My situation is that I am in U.S now and I am going back to my home country next Month because my H1B expires. I will be waiting for the Canadian PR in my home country. I have a U.S address to receive mails. Buffalo is by all means faster than the consulate at my home country. So I would rather have my case processed in Buffalo.
Please give me some suggestions. Thank you.
