Hi all its 72 days now since my application reached NS, Canada. My thoughts lie on the following three possibilities / scenarios

1. My application is still under review inspite of my DD being encashed. What do i do in this scenario? And how do I know that its still being reviewed? Any one with more than 70 days waiting time please respond.

2. My application has been reviewed and they have sent the AOR mail to a wrong email id or for some reason it hasnt reached me. In this case, how am i to proceed further without a file number to refer with the Newdelhi office?

3. My application has been reviewed and the decision has been negative to consider even for the 1st stage. Will I get a confirmatory snail mail / normal post / courier indicating the same?

I request the seniors to help me with appropriate actions from my side that is required at this point of time with respect to each of the above scenarios. Any help would be well appreciated.

hi jbiyer 1982,

kind of strange because july and aug filers mostly rcv aor in average of 53-55 days. all the possible scenario that u mentioned are possible to happen.i suggest u wait for 10 more days.someone mentioned in one thread who have waited for around 80 days for aor, havent rcv one and all the while cio have already sent aor thru email and mail but strange, didnt reached him and before she knew it the 120 days have started counting.they tried calling local visa office,thats the only time they knew that it has been a month since cio sent response.

if u dont get response after 10 days more, i think u need to do something...

But even if i contact my local CIC office i.e Newdelhi, India, how do I refer my application without my file number?

Any thoughts here?

hi jbiyer,

its a worst case scenario actually, i dont know how that person from another thread did it, wat she mentioned was she just called local visa office. when i was waiting for my aor, i called my local embassy in the philippines about some fund issue and the operator gave me an email add for immigration questions. maybe, u can do the same, call the operator and ask things that can help u about your case.

Hi Friends, I applied on August 3, 2009 and I received my AOR on September 23. I used attorney David Cohen. I've been requested to submit all my documents by January 25, 2010.
