YOUR DRAFT WIL NOT BE ENCASHED UNTIL YOUR APPLICATION WIL BE DETERMINED ELIGIBLE IN NEWYORK BUFFALO(I APPLIEDTHERE) OR IN STATES. ONCE CASE PROCESSING CENTER IN NS FEELS YOUR ELIGIBLE ACCORDING TO THEM THEY WIL INFORM YOU TO FORWARD UR APPLICATION TO STATES AND ONCE UR APPLICATION IS RECEIVED IN STATES THEY WIL EMAIL U TO LET U KNOW THAT THEY HAVE RECEIVED APPLICATION N THEY ARE GOING TO CHECK IT ONCE AGAIN TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT UR ELIGIBLE.
IF ELIGIBLE THEN ONLY THEY ENCASH UR DRAFT IF NOT THEY WIL SEND US A LETTER STATING THE REASON WHY V R NOT ELIGIBLE WITH THE FEE REFUND.
WHY I KNOW THIS CAUSE I GOT MAIL FROM NS SCOTIA TO FORWARD MY DOCUMENTS TO NEWYORK N ALSO THEY GAVE ME A FILE NO. TO CONFIRM THE RECEIPT OF FEE. ONCE I SEND STUFFS TO NEWYORK BUFFALO , I RECEIVED EMAIL STATING THE RECEIPT OF MY DOCUMENTS N THEY HAVE GIVEN ME A NEW FILE NO.. BUT IT DOESNT MEANS I AM ACCEPTED D EMAIL CLEARLY SAYS THEY WIL DETERMINE MY FILE FOR ELIGIBILTY N IF I AM NOT ELIGIBLE THEY WIL LET ME KNOW D REASON N ALSO I WIL GET THE REFUND.

HI GUYS WHOEVER APPLIED IN AUG NO NEED TO WORRY IT TAKES COUPLE OF MONTHS TO GET RESPONSE FROM NS. THEY WONT ENCASH YOUR DD UNTIL YOUR FILE IS DECLARED ELIGIBLE N YOU GET UR FILE NO.

Why are you not sure about the date of your application ? When did you send it ? and When it reached there ?

Hello Every one,

I sent my file on on 25th of August-09 and reached to N.S. Sydney on 27th of August-09. I got IELTS Points as below:-

Listening      5.5
Reading       5.5
Writing        5.0
Speaking      6.5

I have calculated 10 points for english proficieny. Did I calculate it right? would I call for interview as I got 5.0 in writting. When I would get my AOR? I have done IELTS on January 15th, 2009 and for Canada its valid for one year and validity is ending on 15th of january-10. My question is would I retake IELTS after even after receiving AOR?

Hi, AOR usually takes about 2 months from the date your app was recd. by CIO. About, IELTS scores, I am not too sure. But, I can tell you this that your IELTS score if you have sent it to CIO while it was valid, that means it will stay valid through out your application process now.

Thanks for yr reply. Offcourse I have sent copy of IELTS Certificate to CIO NS. Because without it they can't calculate mt point.

oh my, aor seems forever.ur right bobbyshergill,i think we just have to wait till nxt week for it because others are rcving response from NS in 55 days.i hope we hear from them soon.just keep updating.

u may not need to submit ielts result to CIO.for canada migration, the english exam ressult is good for 1 year only, although it expires within 2 years.i guess their basis for 1 year is when u sublit your full documents to local visa office.lets just hope you get aor in 2 months so that u dnt take ielts anymore.

try checking this link.someone mentioned changes in ielts scoring.im not sure how true, yet check it.u might earn higher points.

I have already gone through this message but I am not sure from when  it would be applicable? 2nd I never calculate my score but my advocate has done it. I have applied with AEO under NOC 1111. I am commerce graduate and having 16 years of experience in the field of accounts. 42 years of age and may be without IELTS I am meeting 67 points
