hi,
they requested additional documents in may 2011 and we were told that time that we won't need to submit further documents...However, a few days ago they requested further documents and they are asking about the recruitments...
They told us (around sept 2011) that our file is sitting on the Senior Manager desk waiting for a signature...Nothing happaned...Before Christmas they promised they will send out the decisions....Nothing happened....
We are in the middle of February and they still request further documents...It's been a year now....

Hi Islington,

This is insane. What will happen again? You have to start counting their 90 days again.  Shocked Shocked Shocked

MY representative is also saying me the same thing and i had asked if everything is complete and she affirmed that yes and no more documents are needed. Just in the Managers queue. I got suspicious and after lots of efforts i got a mail from PNP that my file is in the managers queue. Do not know what is going to happen.

PNP is misleading the people by still assuring the people that the processising period is 90 days. It is not fair on their part. Angry Angry Angry

Counting the 90 days again?Huh Shocked I can't believe this is happening...it's not fair and nobody cares....but this is our life...I need a decision because I have to move on...I can't wait any more...I can't try any other program at the same time because I can't afford further expenses ..I'm having a baby in June...All I want is a decision.... Embarrassed Is it too much after a year?Huh??

Sorry to hear this. It is ridiculous. I am also cannot afford to wait longer and it would be great if they tell the decision.

Did you gave additional documents? I was asking my representative what would happen if similar situation arises and anything we can do in advance. He said to me to wait for their query and decide later.

Hi Pranav,

Yes, we sent in the requested documents last week..You can't do anything else then wait...but the question is how long??? sometimes I'm so hopeless and I feel like giving it up...then another day comes and I hope there will be an answer soon...I wouldn't say a word if they say the timeline for this program is 12 months..In that case at least you know what to expect...But they are as you said misleading us...

I really feel for you guys. This is most unfortunate. Believe me when I applied in mid-2010, Opportunities Ontario was better.

Anyway, I want to give you some suggestions. As I knew about OPNP from one of seminars they held with conjunction with ISC-International Students' Centre at my university (University of Windsor), I would definitely seek ISC's attention to this matter. Becasue it was Opportunities Ontario who influenced int'l students to go for PNP program as it's mostly "FASTER". You should try different sources in order to push them to do their work or what they promised.

Another month had passed since their last update that it is in the Managers queue. Their three month is now eight months in my case. My application was filed in last Feb but all the additional documents requested were submitted by last July. Can you believe this?

Congratulations Tugga!! Smiley Smiley Smiley

At least someone is lucky..It seems that we are not talking about the same office. One year since our application and no answer yet for pre-screen..Did your company make any advertisement? When did you exactly submit your application?

Mine was international students with job offer. So they dont have to do the advertisement. As I said, 4 months for prescreen from Aug to November and then Dec to Feb for nomination. If the pre-screen itself is taking that long, it must be the employer reputation etc. We do not know where the issue is. I know  a friend who got the nomination in 3 weeks after getting pre-screen. The wait is painful though.
