I am currently a green card holder in the US and I would like to apply for a Permanent Residence visa in Canada on business or invester grounds.

I have read the requirements of showing net worth of $800,000CAD and investing $400,000CAD.

What I would like to know is whether applying on business ground is better or worse than applying on investor grounds ?

How long does the process take until I can get my PR status ?

Do I have to invest in a business before or after I get my visa ?

I own a business and work as a manager in another business.

hi
We starated our investor application 16 months ago, we have just recieved our acceptance certificates and are in the process of federal checks and awaiting a call for medicals.  We have told that if all goes to plan we should have our pr papers by xmas this year.

Hope this helps also the interview for the investor class is tough and they go into your fincances to when you first started working and the checks are tough also.
