Hey, everyone.

In order to stay in Canada and better qualify in the job market what would you say is better... a 2 year diploma or a 2 year postgraduate certificate?

I have a bachelors in Design - Visual Communication and have been working as a marketing analyst for almost 5 years. I plan on studying Business Management. I just don't know wether I should take a 2 year post-graduate certificate or begin in a more basic way and apply for a diploma course.

What would you guys say is better in terms of career? I need some advice. Thank you!

Post graduate courses, as the name suggest, is a higher qualification than diploma. The higher you go, the better and easier it is to get "high paying " jobs.

Definitely postgraduate certificate. College diploma is lower education than university whereas for postgraduate certificate you need to have some form of university degree so it will most likely be more appreciated by potential employers.

HI All,
I'm a IT guy with 2 yrs exp..Currently wrkin with Cognizant (CTS) planning to apply for a grad dip in IT coz i don't have a basic degree in IT ( I have a Bachelors degree in Mech Engg). Entire course fee comes to around 26k.My ques is.. if i show sufficient funds what are my chances of a visa coz I'm applying for a Diploma course after a Bachelors degree, I'm guessing it wud be a favorable reaction since my Bachelors and Diploma are from a diff field. I can rationalize that owing to my wrk exp background I need an IT degree. How will the visa people view my situation. Any1 pls advise..
