Hi All,

My mother in law arrived in Canada last year in December. Although her visa is valid till Jan 2012 but immigration officer granted her a six month stay which is going to be over in next month. I tried to extend the stay by send the application through registered mail. But I don't know why CIC didn't receive the mail and it is being returned to me .. I didn't understand why ...

I want to know that is there any country near by which allows on arrival entry visa so I can send her there and she can re-enter in Canada ....

i think you can extend visa online
i pretty sure you can

I have tried this but unfortunately their payment system is not working. I tried twice but it showed failure from their system but money got debited from my credit card. This failures are confirmed when I called CIC call centre ... they asked me to send the applicaiton through mail .... I request manual form which came in two days and I paid the money to bank and send the receipt to them .... I don't know why they didnt acknowledge my registered mail and it is coming back .

What country is your mother-in-law from? And what country's passport is she travelling on?

Tip 1 - DO not send do there po Box send to there courier office
Tip 2 - DO NOT USE CANADA POST - Use Fedex or UPS

Assuming, she is Paki............nope, can not travel to US without a Visa...

All the best...check which countries can grant a visa on arrival like cuba, islands etc and that could be a better option.
