WHICH AGENCY DOES CRIMINAL AND BACKGROUND CHECKS ,,

HII  PEOPLE ,,
its not   easy  waiting   for   cic  to  get  the  background check  done ,,
i did my interview   dec,8 2010 ,in malaysia,, and  did another  medicals on 5th   march 2011 ,,
and still  background  check  isnt  finished yet ,, its  so  frustrating ,
if  they started the checks  by  december ,,  i think it  should be  done by now ,,
i wonder which  agency  does  the checks ,,any idea?

Ha ha ha .... you think your situation is frustrating? How about doing your interview in September and new medicals all of which were approved and only finding out last week in CAIPS notes that background checks were sent in January and nothing is back yet. Not forgetting that between September to now, NO correspondence from the VO, not even response to many email enquiries

Just hope that each day will be the "DAY" you hear something

I think CSIS is the agency that does the checks in Canada.

My CSIS security assessment were sent back to CIC in October 2010 , my interview with CSIS was May 2010 so its been 1 year in May since the interview and 6 months since CSIS assessment was sent back ! and still NO news.
