Hello,
I have the following question regarding an outland spousal sponsorship application:

- sent in the package to Missisauga except for the FBI cert: CIC told us it is ok to do so if we included the email correspondence regarding the late certificate between me and the FBI liaison and add a short explanation that it is in process.

- CIC received the package on July 14 (postal tracking) but we have not heard anything from them yet (no confirmation or client number or anything).

- I received the FBI certificate today and I am wondering if I should wait for CIC to request it or if I should contact them and ask them if I should send it now.  The VO is Bucharest, by the way.

- Do I understand correctly that CIC will assign me some sort of ID number after my husband is approved to sponsor?

Thanks, all!

Sponsorshi applications are currently taking 40 days for assessment.  You won't hear anything until a decision has been reached. Send the FBI certificate once the file has reached the VO and you receive your file number.  That way it won't get lost.

Thanks -- that is what I was thinking the right approach would be.  Let's just hope it does not take more than 3 months until I hear from the VO  (expiration date of certificate etc)  ;-)
