I am Canadian and currently in South Africa and about to submit my wifes Spousal Sponsorship application. I'll be going on ahead to Canada within the next few months to wait for her and find a job etc. So I guess the application will be treated as an outside of Canada application.

My question is whether I should send the entire application pack to the High Commission in Pretoria, South Africa or send it to Mississauga?

Send to Mississauga as they will look at approving the sponsor first.  Once that stage is done, they will send off to your local visa office to continue the processing.

By regular mail the address would be this:
CPC Mississauga
P.O. Box 3000, Station A
Mississauga, ON
L5A 4N6


If you chose to mail by courier use this address instead:
2 Robert Speck Parkway,
Suite 1200
Mississauga, ON
L4Z 1H8


Jen85, is also correct. You will mail it to Mississauga first where they will make a decision on the sponsor's approval. Once approved they will notify the sponsor and Mississauga will then send the application to the processing office you are going through where they will make a decision about applicant's portion and hopefully give the approval for PR.

So the fact that I'm the sponsor and am currently in South Africa means nothing, all spousal applications irrespective need to be sent to Mississauga?

Yes, that is correct.  It must go to Mississauga first regardless of where you are.

No, not ALL spousal applications go to Mississauga.
Outland spousal applications go to Mississauga no matter where you are currently residing.
Inland spousal applications go to Vegreville.

But yes, mail it to Mississauga and they will sent it to Pretoria when they are done assessing your portion of the application.
