I know. The fact that you're already "in process" is a good sign though. You should check out the Cairo thread (even though the file got transferred).
Thank you for your reply that helps. I live in ottawa and my husband file has been transfered to the ottawa pilot as of dec 9th. I guess i will wait a bit longer, its just so frustrating  Smiley

Can I choose to receive the notes via email or there might a risk of having a file larger an 25 pages?

I know it says, `smaller files only - under 25 pages` but I actually last received an attachment of GCMS notes that was 27 pages. If you`re concerned, you can always check off both and add a note, I suppose.

Thanks for this. Is there a difference between CAIPS and GCMS?  what kind of notes these look like as you have received them before??

GCMS replaced CAIPS as the computer system. http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/where-do-i-get-caips-notes-t11124.0.html;msg1219566#msg1219566

I'm a bit confused as to why your app was transferred to Canada if you applied outland to Cairo? I've never heard of such practice existing at CIC Huh

The Ottawa office is a pilot office that seems to be mostly charged with processing files that won appeal at the IAD but also appears to be taking on currently-processing files from other VOs, such as Cairo: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2011/ob305.asp
