when PR application is received, when does the first day counted till finalized?

Hey all,
Help me understand this. i posted a question similar to this before but never really got a clear answer. perhaps someone out there might know better than  i do. when you send PR applications to CIC as a PNP nominee  for processing, when does the first day counts till the end?? i am asking this coz i am getting confusing info. so suppose  you send stuff in march 09 and get file number in August 09, are those months from March to August 09 counts?? or just what counts is the day you get your file number till they finalize??

Once they recieved your application they will send you an AOR and they will post in your ecas when did they started processing your application, it will be the startt of your counting. You can find their current proceesing time for each consulate but still they are just for references. Your case could be processed longer or earlier. All that you can do is wait and have a lot patience
