Author Topic: when does the visa office get the application from CPC-M?  (Read 267 times)

What is the usual time frame for the visa office to receive the application?our application was approved on Oct,6 but since then ecas has still not changed the second part to "in process".im getting really worried.

For my application the status didn't change until a month later.  I was approved on December 8th and they started processing on January 8th and the status changed at that time.

First stage approval: DEC 8, 2008
Application sent to Local Embassy (London): DEC 8, 2008
In Process on E-CAS: JAN 8, 2009
Interview: MARCH 26, 2009

Hi Irisadz, yes, do not worry. As you can see from my timeline my Visa office started processing a little over a month since the sponsorship stage was approved. Then it took a few days for the e-cas status to change.
I read somewhere that CIC actually hire some company to take care of the status online, they don't actually action it themselves.

There is a difference between when the visa office receives the application and when they actually start processing it. With some visa offices, it takes months before anything shows up on e-cas. So it depends on what visa office you're dealing with.

Feb 16th - application received at CPC-M
Mar 3rd - decision made at CPC-M
Mar 27th - received AOR, dated Mar 23rd
Apr 29th - PPR received via email
May 12th - Passport with visa received :)
Landed Jul 27th in Vancouver

i still didnt get anything........:-(btw i am re-applying,got refused the first time coz marriage was not legal where it was done.....my E Cas still shows "not available" for the second part....for my first application i received AOR within two weeks of it being sent to the local embassy....

as far as I noticed they update ecas related to 2nd stage only on Mondays
