when can i apply for may 2012 intake general category

hi friends i have offer letter from centennial college for IBM and paid the fees too. My doubt is whether i can file for the  visa for may 2012 in feb first week or i need to wait till march because some of my friends are telling me to apply only 2 months prior from the commencement of the course im little confused about it can u please suggest me on this.

Thank u soooooo much guys one more question i was rejected twice by the canada hig commission both spp and general this time can i attach sop or covering letter or its waste of time to attach these letters will the high commicion read these letters and once again thank u sooo much for ur valuable advices i will try to file for my visa as soon as possible.

the total fees is 16,770.88$
3 semesters
i paid first term fees around 6300 CDN
Becoz earlier i took the admission in business accounting and paid the fees but unfortunately the visa got rejected for the jan 2012 intake so i transferred the total fees to IBM course . I think u need not to pay this amount.

for internship im also confused about it i dont have exact info . But i will update u once i know the full details reagarding internship

my Ielts score(L-8,R-6.5,W5.5,S-6.5) OVERALL-6.5

i have taken IBM in centennial college.

these scores are enough to file for the visa or i need to get more bands.because chc requirements differ from course to course.

chc requirements....... what does it mean rizzy......i heared many persons at this fourm IELTS  is not requirement of chc and stouffville and lsbf don't want IELTS for MBA and ACCA...........
