Med's Request: Waiting

« on: May 27, 2011, 07:43:35 am »

Hey everyone!
Is anybody know when the application can be refused? Our file "in Process" already for 7 months. So can it be refused at any stage? Or we have to wait till the last day of the processing time to know the final decision. I mean, if they screened our papers it mean that we are already in the right position? And I hope everything will be fine with our file just little worry....
Thanks a lot....

An application can be refused at any time until it is finalised (which is usually when decision made appears in ECAS and your passport is stamped with visa).

However, usually once you get medical requests you can only be rejected if you are medically or criminally inadmissable to Canada (i.e. something serious shows up on your medical, or something shows up on your security checks).

So I'd say once you get medical requests you are 99.9% there.

However, during "In Process" your application can fail if visa office are unconvinced by any of the documentation as a result of document background checks.

Hope this information helps.

Also I would recommend attending a CIIP course after you get med requests!
