Hello there

I received my sponsorship approval on November 30th 2010 and they supposedly sent my file to Bogota, Colombia. A couple weeks later, I found out they misspelled my name and my wife's name, so I follow their correction and they re-send me a new sponsorship approval with the mistakes corrected dates December 29th saying in the title "CORRECTED VERSION".

The problem lies that when I call CIC and the machine gives me my information in the sponsorship, it says that  I received a letter on November 30th but my case was sent to Bogota on December 29th. I called cic and the agent wasn't really sure why but he thinks november so the correction was just added to the current file and sent to bogota on december 29th...but at the end he was maybe saying the old one was not valid anymore and it would start from december 29th

What do you guys think? If i start from november, it's been 4 months today and no AOR yet...that would depress me because most AOR from Colombia takes 4-6 months...I might be still far far away..if i lose one month

4-6 month is just an average AOR processing time so I am sure you will get yours next month if not May.  I understand your concern..I had to mail additional documents and that added extra time.  It sure is frustrating.
