As Canada has limited the number of applicants in each category to 1000. So what will be happened with the application after 1000

Those applications will be returned and will be asked to re-submit next year.

I hope the number 1000 refers to "accepted to be processed applications" and not the received ones!!

I do not believe this to be true. The processing guide says that if the applications are found to be ineligible for processing, the application will be returned and fees refunded.
