Hi
About Proof of Fund(POF)I am March 2010 Applicant, NOC 4131, NDVO.I hope very soon I will be asked to update my file  Smiley If I am asked to do so , Do I have  to show POF  i.e around 13800 CAD(For me and my Spouse)for last six months in my account ? Do I have to Show the amount  fixed deposited  for 6 months or I can use the money time to time keeping it in saving account and show the amount at last while making bank statement ? plz suggest me. Grin Cheesy

Hi, if you scroll the  "Skilled Worker" pages where you are now, can see several discussions similar to your question.

You can show fixed deposit or any type of deposits in your bank account as proof of fund. A statement of your SB or Current account in the bank with the required minimum funds maintained for less than six months would be ideal. It is not suggested to deposit the required amount in any bank very recently and get the certificate or letter to submit to visa office.

As per CIC website:

"You must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your dependants after you arrive in Canada. You cannot borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use this money to support the costs of living for your family."

I think best and easy way to show pof is bank statement.

Well,friends,I  support expressed by the forum members.Primarily,CIO is concerned with minm.defined amount in the liquid form that can be easily repatriable,be it the one invested in Saving,current or Fixed Deposits having six months dated back.
