What are the points you get on self assessment?

Also, all documents are to be sent to the VO in Nova Scotia now, I'm unsure if yours is the correct procedure.

Also, under what NOC have you applied? Have you checked the CAP?

Cheers!

They will be sending your a Acknowledgement of your documents which is called the AOR (Acknowledgement  of Receipt) where once they receive it and its complete, the online status should change to Application Received. Once they check the documents and you are eligible, the online status should change to In Process, they will conduct a background check and if it is all ok, they might issue a Passport submission request along with medical examination forms. Once you go though this process and the DMP (Designated medical practitioner) and you send your passport (s), if the decision has been made the online status should change to Decision Made. Once you get the visa and complete the landing and land and become a PR the online status changes to Complete.

Avg time to get Pr is 8 - 12 months.

Best of luck

Job Offer needs to be approved by either Service Canada (non-regulated occupations) or HRSDC (for regulated occupations). Do you have this approval (called as AEO-Arranged Employment Opinion) along with your Job Offer?
If not then you may not get the additional 15 points.

As regards processing times, AEO does not fetch any priority in processing, it just gives you 2 benefits:

1. 15 points
2. No need for proof of funds

In fact applicants with AEO's face longer processing, due to additional checks done on the employer.
