hi.

I know it is silly but till now I thought the degrees / diploma were the the transcripts.
After reading a few posts I realized that all this while I was wrong and transcripts means marksheets and not the degree/ diploma

Better late than never..

I had been running around my university with only certified copies of the degree.

please confirm this fact about transcripts............

Yes, a degree is the one which says you have that qualification but a transcript is the one showing details of your study at the university such as marks, credits and number of semesters registered. For employment purposes, a degree will do but for continuing your education like for a master's or PhD, transcripts are normally requested. The CIC wansts them BOTH as there is a lot of fraud in this case.
