Does anyone know what the "Initial Assessment" means.  Do you get a notice on e-case or by mail when it has taken place?

Part of the initial assessment is to ascertain whether an interview will be a required element of your Canada Immigration Application. The initial assessment may also include a request for additional documents

Hope this helps...

Good luck

they dont send any seperate notice for the inital assessment. the first letter you should get after the sponsorhip approval letter is the AOR, then if they need anything else or need an interview that will come later on.
