I'm going to apologize in advance, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what Option C is?  I've seen the term come up in a couple of threads, but I don't know what it is.

I'm a Canadian citizen living in the United States while I complete my undergraduate degree.  My common law spouse is an American citizen.  Is this some sort of financial record we need to provide?

Don't worry about Option C if you don't file tax return in Canada as a taxpayer.

I've been living and studying in the United States since January of 2008.  Does that mean I don't have to include it?

I'm in the US with a student visa and I am a student worker at my college.  Do I need to submit my pay stubs or any financial information from my American job?

Ah, Option C Printout... Many people actually wonder what it is.

Eventhough it doesn't look like beeelythe is going to need it, I will explain this in case somebody with Option C related questions uses the search function.

The Option C Printout is not something you automatically receive when you file taxes. It can be ordered at CRA by calling them at the following number: 1-800-959-8281 .

You tell the person on the phone that you need an Option C Printout and they will know what to do.
What they in fact do is, on their computer they select not Option A, not Option B, but Option C. Then they hit the "Printout" button. Hence the name. Seriously! Grin

After you ordered this miraculous piece of paper, it takes up to 10 working days to arrive. Usually less.

Thanks for the info, Indigo!

But do I need to submit the American equivalent for my job in the US?
