Well in principle anything that can easily be converted into cash fall into the category of liquid assets. But usually property and business matter more because of their worth. But if you have a large money in provident fund then that would be a good asset too.

Kista Are you sure about property. Because I have heard property is not liquid fund. If property is liquid fund, then my life would be much easier. Ya my fathers fund is a handsome one which I plan to show
kalyan Well ideally cash in hand is the best but not every one has that amount of idle cash lying

Well, I'm not sure. But I have read on some sites that people do show property in addition to business and money though partly to prove there ties. But I think if u have enough property that can be easily sold then it may work. But u should check some other info about property too.

Property will NOT be considered as settlement funds except in 2 offices and then only for the initial application. You will have to show unencumbered funds at the visa issuance and the "landing" PMM

I didnt get what is initial application and what is subsequent application. Do we have to show funds twice
and what is settlement fund. Is it fund related to living expenses in Canada.
Can you guide how much to show on each application, if there are more than 1 application

Hi PMM what is initial application and subsequent application
1. Initial application when you send in the application after receiving the 120 day letter. 2. When the processing office requests your passport. Now remember each office operates slightly differently, i.e. Delhi requests the passport really early in the process, London requests it only when they are going to issue the visa. PMM
