The moment our e-Cas states 'in process' we should understand that our case file has commenced processing & b/ground checks have begun. What steps they take & how - depends on our filing, the VO's perception, a bit of luck & the strength of our supporting docs.

Unless we have a 'Visa Office Eligibility Review Complete' [Danger] in the e-Cas, we r good to go... whatever else is written there is not so important... it's just a matter of work process. If u see the CAIPS u'd know that there'd be many BF'Ds - which suggest that each time a VO has reviewed the case file.

Thanks much Sir for your great mentoring! Just curious to know why 'Visa Office Eligibility Review Complete' put under Danger?

That, in most circumstances, mean "rejection" !

 @ qorax:

according to CAIP note, it is mentioned there "FILE BF'D TO: PSD ON 13-02-2011 & PS DECISION: 1, 01-09-2010 HII.

Can you kindly tell me what is the meaning of it? Do you think those apply in 2006, their file will be clear within this year 2011?

1. Your last BF'D was on 13/2/2011, while the case file was found to be 'acceptable' on Paper Screening during 01/9/2010.
2. Yes, it's expected that the 'older' backlog would see light of the day this yr.

Thanks.

- 'ABV' is the initials of a staff.
- 'PCCx1' means One 'Police Clearance Certificate' received.
- 'PAed' meant your file had gone to the 'docs storage area' [gestation pd for filing].
- 'IMM1017S' is the Med forms... the VO had requested despatch of it on xyz date [that u didn't mention].

This is the maximum time you talking about? What is the reason for such time? She got her passport with in 1.5 month after the request for submission... I'm finding reason in my case for delay is late submission of my daughter's passport.

A matter of fact that my landing fees also got encashed and I have received RPRF - landing fee receipt dated 4th May 2011, so i'm thinking on positive side to receive my pp back latest by early next month...

Approx 3 months from May 2011.

Hi Qorax......I am impressed by the depth of your knowledge. You keep us really informed. God bless you man.

Can you please enlighten me as to how long the VOs should hold on to the passports for issuing visa. I have sent mine last Oct i.e Oct 2010. My passport is with them & I cannot move out of the country if I need to. Its quite frustrating. I am a 2004 applicant from New Delhi.

Plz help.

Thanx Qorax......First thing on Monday morning I'll call up N Delhi. But its hard to go past the lady who picks up the phone. I hope I can impress her.

I had mailed N Delhi earlier in March'11. They replied that background checks are being conducted & it may take some time. Me & my family have not been globe-trotting, so background check should not be that elaborate. After waiting for more than 6 weeks I have mailed them again a couple of days back. They haven't replied yet.

Can u plz give me some hints as to how to precisely put up my case if I get through to the Visa Officer???

Qorax....May God bless you abundantly......this I am saying from the core of my heart.
