I am May 27/11 applicant. I had submitted my medicals to CIC on October 11/11 after getting the medical request. My e-CAS was updated to "We have recieved your medical results" some where near November 18/11. Since that no word from CIC. My file is in Buffalo. Many applicants who filed after me got their PPR. My questions are:

1) What are my chances of getting PPR if all medical conditions are met?

2) Does CIC request for medicals only if the person is eligible for PR?

My file is also in Buffalo and I filed my application on May 12, 2011. I haven't received a word from them too. After getting my medicals updated on Nov 18, 2011.

I'd suggest you to order GCMS notes. I also got to know from my GCMS notes that CIC might have lost my Employer Reference Letter so they asked me the letter again. I have passed my medical test as being recorded on GCMS.

CAIPS/GCMS notes are of great help to know what is happening with your file.

How long it takes to get these notes? Can we fax the application for CAIPS?

You have to send the application via mail only.

It takes 4-6 weeks to arrive.

I might do the same. Quick question : Should I request for CAIPS or GCMS? or, are they both the same thing? Also, what should I fill under the Reference Number field and the Embassy information in the form?

I personally checked both CAIPS and GCMS.

Just leave the reference number blank. Put the immigration office name as Buffalo if your file is there. Just put the file number, that will do.

Thanks So much!

One more question: What documents did you show to as a proof of residence in Canada?
