Hi everyone, I am new to this all taxing thing, and would really appreciate some help, advice on this topic. I am from Germany and arrived in April this year, and was working here and there, was also paying my taxes. From November month I was employed as contractor, that means I have to pay my taxes starting from November afterwards by myself.
First,
- how do I pay taxes as contactor, is there any free software? or which documents I need to fill and where should I send it?

Second,
-the first 7 month my taxes have been paid directly, I have earned about net 6290CAD + 4*720CAD as contactor ->  9170CAD last year. Is there a chance that I would get some money back, because I haven't earned so much during the last 9 month?
What kind of documents I need for tax return ?

Thanks in advance.

You complete a T2125 form and file this with your income tax return.  Most tax software, free or paid for, should have the facility to complete a T2125.

It depends on the province you live in.  $9,170 is below the federal personal amount but it is above some provincial personal amounts.  Most likely you get back the vast majority, or even all, of the tax you have paid.

Keep as much documentary evidence as you can to support the numbers you show on your tax return.

Did you register a company for your contract work or you just work directly as a contractor?
