I am not sure about the approval rate however nurses are in the under pressure list for alberta, so the probability to pass PNP are pretty high.

See websire below for details
http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/en/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/oup/abouplist.shtml

3152 - Registered Nurses
3413 - Nurse Aides, Orderlies and Patient Service Associates

We badly need Nurses,we have a nursing shortage,We even waive the 550$ PNP Fee for Nurses going to work in the Public Sector in BC,We pay relocation bonuses to reimburse Nurses for their Airfare and Accreditation and Rental and Moving Expenses to BC.So Nurses have very high acceptance rates for BC PNP.Public Sector Health Match BC Private sector www.futuresearchcanada.com.Please consider BC,We will welcome you

Need nurses bigtime in PEI-- however for the other occupations-- PE somewhat antiquated-- almost all direct patient care done by RN's and LPN's. Very few "unlicensed" personnel here such as techs, nursing assistants, etc. Very unfortunate as it could really help solve the nursing shortage.
