Here is the situation:

I am applying for PR today outland to Argentina--my home country.  The process should take about 10 months.  However, my tourist visa expires May 1st, 2012.  I have already applied for a 6 month extension once.  If I submit a request to extend my tourist visa for 1 year with the application of my PR what are the chances of them granting my request? I want to stay in Canada with my boyfriend while the PR is processed obviously.

Thanks!

You have to provide good reason to extend your tourist visa, again. I understand that you had like to stay with your boyfriend while PR in process. PR and TRV request are two different process .
